The Rookery is a small development of three self catering holiday cottages in Ambleside the Lake District Cumbria. Each cottage is  beautifully situated  just yards from the centre of Ambleside and enjoying the following key benefits:

Each cottage is well-equipped and kept very clean to ensure you and your family have a fabulous holiday in some of England's loveliest countryside. All of the cottages were recently fully updated to include gas central heating, new kitchens, new bathrooms and new balconies.

No. 1 and No. 2 The Rookery are a pair of  cottages built 20 years ago and recently fully updated. Both cottages sleep up to 5 adults and are equipped to a high standard and command spectacular views of the water of Stock Ghyll from most rooms. Outside seating areas and balconies on each house enhance the experience of being beside this lovely mountain river.

The Rookery provides the privacy and security of being a cul-de-sac with no access for traffic or pedestrians other than residents in the three holiday cottages. There is easy private parking on site for 2 cars per cottage. These benefits - whilst being just 1 minutes easy walk from the centre of the village - make The Rookery a firm favourite of everyone who stays here. 90% of our bookings are repeat visits from previous customers who love these cottages and the surrounding area.

Our aim has been to make each cottage a cosy, clean and friendly holiday home, equipped with everything needed to make for the best possible holiday.
